Rip The Runway Montreal 2015

Montreal did not only RIP the Runway, they commanded it, graced and destroyed it with exquisiteness and class.

The evening began with the VIP cocktails prepared by the amazing caterer: Gourmet by Design. A nice blend of apetizers just to hit our tastebuds in the right spot. As the delicious dishes were presented fashionably and timely, the chef himself came out and gave us a appetizing drink to compliment our fabulous meal.

As this was the 4th annual event, it felt like  this event had been running for over 20 years. The level of professionalism, and elegance that went into this amazing show was beyond words.

Catherine Verdon-Diamond and Ricardo Daley did a phenomenal job in keeping the audience entertained through giveaways, funny banter, and Catherine`s version of her " African Dance". Which she worked I must say. :)  We were also graced at the beginning of the show with a magnificent spoken word piece by Blu R'Va. As the show continued we also had the pleasure of being entertained by Daniel Keys' musical performance.

-        How wonderful it was to sit front row and witness the variety of beauty coming from the models and the creative minds behind each and every design.

Not only did every single model walk with confidence, they owned each and every outfit they strutted down the runway, having the audience eagerly intrigued to find out what the Designer would bring out next.

TRISTAN WILLIAMS

As Tristan Williams got up on stage to give us a great speech about his survival with cancer and multiple sclerosis, the room stood in silence. Witnessing a man of courage, strength and determination at it`s very best.

For those of you willing to donate to the Tristan Williams MS foundation you can get involved  by calling 514-591-3446 or you can help defeat the monster by visiting  the website at www.twmsf.com.

Fashion for a cause is a non profit organization of professionals creating awarness and raising funds to increase visibility of local and nationwide causes and charities for greater impact in the community.

I had the pleasure of meeting and greeting with the wonderful Ladies who ran this event. Janice Small-Wright, Aileen McCalla, and Dawn Mcnichols are the ladies who put in the hard work and effort to pull off Rip the Runway 2015. I must say kudos and congratulations to you ladies for putting together remarkable affair.

The success of RTR MTL 2015 goes to the newest addtions of the team. The wonderful fashion director Miss Andrea Hall, who did the job of finding every single designer while residing in L.A. Also the event wouldn't have been as wonderful if it weren't for the event planner and decorator.. ( did you see the gorgeous decor??) Edwina Adei and Aisha Delpeche the project manager.

Next year, Rip the Runway will be on Saturday October 8th 2016. My recommendation is to not miss out on this fabulous event, get familiar with Fashion For A Cause, and be apart of the movement to bring awareness to various diseases and illness that can use your support.

Miss Trish
