Project DISCOVER is Sahale Inspired

DISCLOSURE: This post is brought to you by Sahale Snacks.  All opinions and food I eat are of my own choosing, but Sahale Snacks is seriously a huge part of our life!

It’s such an honor to continue to work with Sahale Snacks. I was a big fan way before I worked with them on one of their brand ambassador projects and before they were a sponsor. Have you ever felt like a brand was created just for you?

Their fruit nut mixes are made by curating the finest organic (and gluten-free) ingredients that they have ‘thoughtfully sourced’ from near and far. That speaks to the inner gourmet in me.

Their efforts in offsetting the energy they use to manufacture their products speaks to my inner hippie.

This brand just speaks to me period.

It’s as if Josh and Edmond leaned over and whispered in my ear and said, “We hope they inspire you to live adventurously and savor every moment in life.”

Oh wait. That comes from the packaging…

But as a matter of fact, throughout this past year of Project Escape, Sahale Snacks did inspire me to adventure more. Their mixes were my treat or my reward for a hike well done, or a morning well spent with my photographer husband, who despite his best intentions, sometimes left me meal-less.

Breakfast was left in the car…Sahale Snacks to the rescue!

I did relish those moments sitting on the edge of a rock or cliff or waterfall or beach. I don’t do yoga but I created my own mantra, my own meditation. “I am not angry at my husband for being out here two hours longer than he said, I’ve got my Balsamic Almonds and I am enjoying the apples and the almonds. That hit of balsamic is so enjoyable. That dash of cayenne at the end is keeping me warm.”

It’s 34 degrees, no problem, I’ve got cayenne!

I’m totally not kidding!

This past year these beyond ordinary snacks were a comfort and a constant companion.

No matter what the situation. Beach. Desert. Picnic in a park, having Sahale Snacks around allowed me to savor every moment.

This year, during Project DISCOVER, they will continue to be a big inspiration to me as I challenge myself to get back in shape.

Fitness is more than just the physical act of doing something, well, physical. There is also mental and spiritual well being. For me good food is an essential component to my well being, if I’m not eating interesting food, I’m not happy.

It’s very hard for me to maintain an exercise routine centered around traditional exercises. But this year I have found that I love hiking.

In the Pacific Northwest where Sahale Snacks was created, the people embrace nature all year round and hiking is very popular. It was hiking and climbing that inspired Josh and Edmond to conceive these amazing snacks in the first place!

I plan to challenge myself with more hikes and outdoor activities that allow me to improve my physical being as well as my mental well-being.

It’s important for me to create a reason to exercise, craft an experience, I’m not going to be able to exercise just because I’m supposed to. I need inspiration. I need a story. I need something to stake my claim to and plant my flag.

Lost? No problem, I’ve got my Sahale Snacks!

One way I will discover a path to exercise is via my admiration for the founders of Sahale Snacks and the brand itself. Their mission and guiding principles speak to me and have caused me to be #SahaleInspired.

There will be adventure and misadventures and every step of the way there will be Sahale Snacks.

Sure, I could be inspired by an athlete or a fashion brand, but I’m a foodie, so I can’t resist!

Sahale Snacks are a part of many of our picnic meals.

There is a nut mix (as well as nut and fruit bars) for every taste bud. My hubby loves the sweeter Honey Almonds and Pomegranate Flavored Pistachios Glazed Mix. I like the spicy, savory Mango Madness, Balsamic Almonds and Thai Cashews, but frankly, I eat them all!

Cook with them, top your yogurt or your oatmeal or your salad with them. Or just pour a handful in your hand. You’ll have an experience like none other.

These are not ordinary snacks.
