As I aged, i had started hating my Birthday. Especially the big three-oh. I remember that i told no one that it was my birthday and i was miserable and i only told this girl who came to have dinner with me, Aurelie, and i told her after the dinner.
But later i embraced the 30s and last birthday was cool. I got myself cakes (yes, Cake-s) and i wrote on it "Happy birthday to ME! :-)" (Yes, i did) and i cut it and ate it with everyone. I am a strong independant woman and i need no body.
That was my thing this year too. And i was really going to do it again.
But it got SO. FUCKING. MUCH. BETTER!!!

- Started out with bro Aqqui getting me the dream watch i was so in love with. Titan Raga, Elegant, Subtle and So not me, but so so mine.
- Then My friends(Di, H, Sony and Sru) got around and sent me the lapbag that was exactly right for my laptop and my style.
- Priya, my lovely colleague got me few earrings and a bracelet. Yay!
And i thought that was it. I was happy even though i couldn't go home for it.
- I heard on the grapevine that the patients, my lovely patients, were organising a party for me on my birthday. So i got a few sweets and got there, and they were there with a cake, and gifts and everyone sang and hugged me and i felt so so loved!!! Thanks Sonja, Swetlana and Girma!

- Then everyone wished me around midnight and morning.
- The next day, Ambili, my other colleague, got me a fab churidhar and she's going to stitch it for me. (Fabulous stitcher. I usually pay her, Hopefully not for this. :-P
- Knickknack gifts and greetings for other people i love.
Again, i thought it was over. Haha! No.
- I got home, and i had a huge gift parcel. From Di, H, Sony and Sru. And i opened it and i simply perished and went heaven-ward. I got few earrings (Seriously, my earring addiction is showing. Damnation!) from Sony, same from sru, and a bangle. My favorite KHAKHRA,the mumbai snack, from Di. I love it!!! [ So does everyone in my home and at work :-( ]
- AND... ANDDDD.... THEY ALL SENT ME LETTERS!!! HANDWRITTEN LTETERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND IN CASE OF H, SCANNED, BUT FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE, I AM STILL SO EMOTIONAL, NOBODY TOUCH ME. (My tumblr is showing :-|)
So, in the end, i am Glad that it was my birthday. Not so glad that i am one more year older. Glad that everyone in my life is older and is making much more money than the teens we were. hehe. Glad that they all love me. Glad that i get one more year to love them and thank them.
