Tags: yoga love loud

because i mentioned in my last post that Yoga had never really clicked with me in the past, i want to point out that it had absolutely nothing to do with the classes themselves. perhaps i should clarify. over the years, i had just tagged along with my mom. i never really wanted to go, but thought it was “good for me”, as we are told so many things are. maybe now i have finally matured enough to actually appreciate all that yoga has to offer. because i no longer feel awkward in poses or get the urge to giggle when my class erupts into a loud (and i mean LOUD) exhale of “haaaaa”. i have finally learned to embrace it and dive in and i am “haaaaa”-ing with the best of them! this is the difference.

another part of yttp that i Love is that there are many teachers. come to think of it, i have never had the same one twice and it has been a full week. some may find comfort in practicing with one individual on a regular basis. however, i love the exposure to each instructor’s style. today, we were told repeatedly that we did not have to do anything we didn’t want to do. i just love the fact that yoga often seems completely opposite to the rest of my life. no one wants you to do anything…it’s all up to you!
