On Pretense and Hypocrisy

Pretense and Hypocrisy are closely related cousins and silently fuse together somewhere in the middle. But it all depends on how we approach it as a trait, or character in humans. It has been long since I wanted to express my feelings on this topic but never had the train of thoughts to express in tangible and legible expression. Ah! Now I seem to have a brainstorm, so I wanted to capture it before it drifts away as mist

We humans are pretentious sometime or the other more than once in a day, but usually our intentions are good when we be so. To site an example, we would praise or agree with anything when questioned, when we do not want to offend someone. But the same would be hypocrisy if our intentions are debauched or negative. Sometimes someone hurts us intentionally and we pretend to overlook it and forget it….this is being pretentious but harmless to the others and useful for the one who practices it with above intentions. We would be hypocritical if we pretend to be good from outside while plotting an evil plan inside or hating something or someone so much as to hurt. This? People is dangerous, ghastly….and pure evil. But sadly more people practice hypocrisy these days than being harmlessly pretentious.

For those who are subject in a dilemna to make out one from the other, this can be an easy or arduous task , depending how good the other person is at his art of pretension on hypocrisy. The secret lies in the eyes….which seem to be speaking out what it is at that time. So if you are in one of those situations when you need to know what it is at that time then zoom into their eyes and they will let you out the secret.

And if you happen to find out that it is hypocrisy and not pretense, I would still suggest that you take it as pretense and not hypocrisy to kill the cycle of evil by answering their slap with a smile, or this cycle will never stop and this contagious evil will graduate from endemic to pandemic. Making it harder to transform or reverse this from smoke to mist from its current state of haze.

It was many times that I was smitten by this nasty bug myself, and every time I was in a confusion to make out one from the other. So I thought a piece of advice will not harm anyone and so the post.
