Amazing DIY Orange Peel Kitchen Spray….

This DIY Orange Peel Kitchen Spray smells amazing and more importantly, it does a great job cleaning your kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

I love a good cleaning video as much as the next person but what I don’t love is the message that you need to go out and buy a hundred and one different cleaning products in order to do your own cleaning at home.  You absolutely don’t need to fill your trolley with a different cleaning product for each cleaning job around your house and a good cleaning product doesn’t need to be filled with chemicals.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against all the products you can buy and I do use some myself but I’m trying to replace as much as I can with homemade products – some I can’t see me doing without but some have been easily replaced by some of the products I’ve learned to make myself.

I’ve shared quite a few homemade cleaning products with you over the last year or so but this DIY Orange Peel Kitchen spray is definitely one of my favourites.  Although it’s fab for all your kitchen and your bathroom, I tend to use mine more in the kitchen as I feel like the smell is perfect in there whereas I feel like a fresher smell like peppermint in my bathrooms.

How to make your DIY Orange Peel Kitchen Spray

You need:
The peel from 3-4 oranges
200ml White Vinegar
150ml Water

  • Pack your orange peel into a jar and cover with the white vinegar.
  • Pop the lid on and leave for three or four weeks – giving it the odd shake here and there.
  • At the end of the three or four weeks use a sieve or a coffee filter to strain the liquid into a spray bottle and top up with the water.
  • I’m not sure how long this will last for but I use a batch every 8 weeks or so if my timings are right so it lasts at least that long!

I spray this directly on to my kitchen counters and surfaces and use a microfibre cloth to wipe them down and it always leaves them smelling amazing and looking lovely and clean.

As always, I’d recommend doing a little patch test before using this on a surface you haven’t used it on before – not that I ever do as I’ve never had an issue but I would still recommend you do it.
