I hope this day is the one you wished for. Whether it is spent at home with family, out visiting friends, or a quiet day like J and I are having. Just alone, just the two of us.
I am in a bout of nasty Pnuemonia, still contagious, and this knocked out our holiday plans. So my priority right now is just getting my immune system back to where it was! Which isn't that great but much, much better than where I am right at the moment!
An update to say where I have been and then I will write more later. I have plenty of tales to tell about the pups and kitties! Since moving two months ago, we have had no high-speed interent. We have had to revert to the dark ages and are using dial-up internet. It has become a long, drawn-out afffair with our main provider being AT&T. I do think it will be able to be resolved eventually but it's very frustrating when basic services are not being met in almost 2014!
Internet is a part of our daily lives in every way. For me, it is way of keeping in touch with my family and friends just like all of you! And for me, being home-bound most of the time....it is my connection to the outside World. With my wonderful Blogging family, Facebook friends. Using dial-up lets me read a bit of news and Email. But that is it. I can only read the first status-update on any Facebook page, I cannot read comments left on my updates or others. I cannot see or post pictures. And I can't get Blogger to work using age-old dial-up! Hence, no blog posts for 2 months! And loading other bolgs to read...well, it takes hours!
My solution is to use the new email account I finally set up (after it took 2 hours!) I write the post and forward in an email to a friend. This good friend is Bianca, who writes her own blog. She literally lives a world away in the Netherlands! So here I am...living in the United States, writing a blog post, emailing it to my Dutch friend so she can post it for all of you to read on my blog! Crazy..right?!
Hopefully this system will work until unitl I am back in the World of Technology where I belong!
Please know how much I miss reading your blogs, being a part of the conversation on Facebook and your emails. I won't lie. Since moving and all of this began, it has been quite lonely in my little world.
Having chronic illness takes it's toll in many ways. Not being able to keep up with friends around the world shouldn't have to be one of them.
I have a new email email address since I cannot access my old one. If you leave a comment on this post, I would love to connect back with you! So maybe you can leave your email in the comment :) Otherwise, I can't message back. All of your email info is in my old account!
