9 Brokest Facts About Sean Price’s Monkey Barz

I love Sean Price. He is one of my all time favorite hip hop artists. His passing was a big blow to the hip hop community, especially for underground artists.

What I love most about Sean Price’s music is the sense of humor. He had a hilarious way of getting his point across. The first time I heard the “turkey sandwich” line on Spliff-N-Wessun I thought I was going to pee myself from laughter.

Sean was a true independent and commonly had words for mainstream artists. He understood that hard work and quality projects were supreme over mainstream gimmicks and industry.

Today I wanted to share with you some facts I have learned about Sean Price’s Monkey Barz. Like most people, this album was my first introduction to Sean Price’s solo music.

While I love Sean’s entire catalogue, Monkey Barz will always have a place in my heart. The album gives me nostalgia of bar hopping and hip hop shows in my early 20s.
