So it’s been about 3 weeks now since I’ve officially moved into University. Life is pretty good here and I haven’t had that hard of a time adjusting, it’s different but it’s a good different. I’ve been thinking about writing this post for awhile now because it’s been almost a month since my last post but I don’t have too much free time and when I do I wanna spend it with my friends not on my computer or phone. I honestly thought I’d have trouble making friend’s here but that’s been the least of my problems; I have such an amazing friend group that supports absolutely everything I do and it’s so crazy to me. Not because I didn’t have something like that back home but because university friendships are a lot different than high School friendships. It’s so nice to be in a new environment where I feel comfortable being myself and I don’t feel like I need to act like someone else to be liked. The only thing I’m having trouble adjusting to is the workload of course, in high school (if you’re lucky) you don’t actually end up with homework every night and if you do its only 1-2 hours a night a few times a week. I usually spend all of my time after class doing my readings and assignments and I still end up staying awake until 2am and waking up at 7am to finish up. Thankfully everything is getting done but it’s still not too fun. On a last note, I’m really happy with the choice I made to come to York, It’s such an amazing school with really awesome resources for people who need help with literally anything. The one downside to the campus is I just want Healthy Food and It’s a lot easier to find fast food than it is to find healthy food, other than that this place has become home. I still can’t wait to visit home because I truly do miss everyone but it’s nice to become independent and learn about myself in the process.
Sorry this post is all over the place, that’s just how my thought’s have been lately. Until next time,
