The funny truth about all my accomplishments is that I honestly don’t think I would’ve done any of it , if it wasn’t for that daunting thought of  “You survived You have NO CHOICE” . I know very morbid but honest. As the twin that survived I’ve always felt as if I HAD to succeed, I HAD to do the right thing, I HAD to make it. It gave me a push like no other. But only the lord knows how quickly I’ll give it all back to meet her just once, without me having to wake up and realize it’s just another dream. Dreams that are so vivid that I truly believe that I am with her. That I can see her ( never her face), that I can sense the thing that I’ve been longing for but somehow still can’t find.  These dreams only get more real leading up to my birthday, hence my ambivalent feelings towards that day and the holiday season as a whole. It honestly just becomes too much, so much that I use to think sleeping was my only way to reach her. ( Unfortunately that doesn’t fly in a West Indian household so I learned to get my behind up and some how push through).

Listen Linda Listen!! I hope you are not crying because we have soooooo much more things to talk about AND this is just the beginning. Next week I turn 28 on the 28th!  I do believe there is magic in numbers and I felt like this was my time to stop being scared. My time to let go of my anxiety and anxious energy in a productive way, that not only may heal me but can help so many other voiceless confused people in the world.
