In line with its 45th year anniversary, the Haribon Foundation organized a quiz bee competition called Envi Quiz: Search for Young Eco Champions last November 24, 2017 at the BGC grounds. The Envi Quiz aims to promote scholastic excellence in biodiversity awareness and nature conservation. The quiz bee participants were Grade 6 students from different schools, which included La Salle Green Hills. My son Justin was part of the Envi Quiz winning team.
The members of the Envi Quiz winning team are as follows: Vito Vincenzo T. Bongco of 6H, Justin Edward G. Figuerres of 6A, Rajeev Kumar of 6A, Gabriel L. Legaspi of 6A and Alfonso Miguel A. Maloles of 6A. The boys’ coaches, Miss Princess Caryl B. Lastimoza and Miss Eden D. Cayamanda, were also present at the event, as well as the grade school’s Science and Health Coordinator Dr. Lorie M. Moroña.
The Young Eco Champions were awarded a trophy, gold medals, certificates of recognition and android tablets. All of the participants brought home a bag of Haribon goodies.
