What it's like to fail a college class

To start, I want to make it clear that I am in no way an A student.  I am perfectly satisfied with my B's and C's.  Now, that doesn't mean that I don't try in School, I just show my smarts in other ways.  Grades have always been more important to my parents than they have to me, but it's still hard when you fail a Class.
It was my spring quarter of freshman year, the last quarter before school is over for the year.  I had just switched my Major to criminal justice (that major didn't last long), and I was taking a psychology class.  I needed it for my major, but I also loved the subject.  My teacher was covered in tattoos so I knew I was going to love her.  And I did!  She was young, engaged, and helpful. How could you not do well in that class.
I don't really know what happened, I just know that I started doing so bad in the class that there was no way to save my grade.  I studied for tests, I promise I did, but I still couldn't get the grades I needed.  My testing anxiety came back, and I lost a lot of confidence.  I did the extra credit that she offered, I talked to the teacher about it, but it was too late.  I got my final grades about 2-3 weeks after school ended and had a round moment.  I'll be honest, I cried about it.  Partly because I hated the fact that I had failed the class, but also because how I though my parents would react.  They weren't happy obviously, but they didn't yell.  I retook the class the next school year and did fine.  It was a hard thing to ho through, but I did learn a few things.  Let me share them with you:
-You're not the only one
-This isn't going to stop you from pursuing -your dreams
-It doesn't mean you aren't smart
-Sometimes you need that low moment, to recognize the high moments
These are hard lessons to learn, but i'm glad I learned them. College is hard, and it's supposed to be, but that doesn't mean that you're alone in experiencing things like this.  If anyone tells you that they've never struggled in a class, they're a damn liar.  I'm not glad I failed a lot, it still makes me crazy anxious to think about, but I am glad that i've had some learning experiences.
