Hello to all. My name is Brendan Bowers and this is my 5th course in pursuing my studies for the Master of Science in Insurance Management. I am very excited and look forward to getting to know all of you. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and work for Liberty Mutual Insurance. I have been married for 6 years and I have two young kids-Reagan is 5 years old and Gavin is 4. My interests are being a Dad, watching football, baseball, and fishing. My other interests are learning about business and insurance, as most of the last 16 months before September had been studying while obtaining the CPCU and the ARM designations. I went to Middlebury College in Vermont.

I started in the Insurance Industry 4 years ago after working as an Institutional Equity Sales/Position trader for a few different investment banks in New York City for over 17 years. I changed careers to insurance because I saw an opportunity to join a growing, important, and broad industry-which was completely opposite from the career I was left. This was not an easy transition but I could not be happier that I made the move to the insurance industry as I see a wide landscape of opportunity for professional growth and I see this program as an incredible opportunity to build on all the knowledge that I have learned in the last 4 years.
