My Favourite Holiday Reads!

I’m currently tapping away on my phone writing this post on Notes because I’m out and stuck in a car! (Oh the joy!)

Anyways, today I’m going to share with you some of my Favourite books to read in the holidays when I have all the time in the world on my hands (A.K.A 1 week):

1. The Elementia Chronicles (An Unofficial Minecraft Fan Adventure) – Sean Fay Wolfe

I Love this book series, the first one given to me on my 10th or 11th birthday by a friend, who knew I was (and still am) a massive gamer! They are about 3 characters in a video game who have to save a city from a tyrannical ruler, whilst learning to play the game along the way. I think there are now 4 books in the series and I have recently started re-reading them! I’d recommend them to anyone who enjoys gaming, especially Minecraft!

2. The Fault In Our Stars – John Green

At this point, you have to imagine me bursting into tears. I love this book because it sparks so many emotions from sadness to happiness to contentment as you watch the two philosophical cancer patients slowly fall in love. The first time I watched the movie with a friend, I sat there and cried into her shoulder before we even came to the sad bit, just because I knew it was going to happen! I must admit, I once read this book around 4 times in a row!

3. The School For Good And Evil – Somian Chana

The second series on this list, I love these books because they give a completely different view on all our favourite fairy tales and the main moral so don’t judge a book by its cover! I shall say no more!

4. Girl Online – Zoe Sugg (or Zoella)

I got this book back in September, October? (Somewhere around then anyways) and immediately loved it! Ironically, it’s what inspired me to start this blog that you’re reading this post on right now! I fell in love with it because of the quirkiness of Penny’s (The main character) life and it felt so relatable!

5. Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children – Ransom Riggs

You may remember me doing a review on this book a while ago, if not you can find it here! I love this book, which is a mix of fantasy and horror. I first found out about this book after I’d watched the movie and decided to go on a hunt for it in a bookstore. I love this type of book and, as an added bonus, it’s full of creepy pictures that fit perfectly with the atmosphere it presents!

Thanks so much for reading this post! What are your favourite reads? Have you read any of these? Tell me in the comments below!
