Quick Update #illumedati

Hey everyone, this post is a combination of Medicine Monday and Whatever Wednesdays. This post is just a “Quick Update“.

Me learning to run a stakepool

Quick Update

First things first, I’m getting more used to using the APAP Mask. I’ve definitely noticed that I can sleep less using the mask while still feeling more rested when I used to sleep longer before.

For example, if I get at least 5-6 hours with the mask, I don’t feel horribly tired. If I only got 5-6 hours before, I would be a zombie for the day relying on coffee to keep me awake. I think that ideally, sleeping with the mask for 6-8 hours would be plenty. As such, I’ve been waking up earlier for the last week or so without feeling overly tired.

Anything else?

Yea.

In other news, I’ve been hard at work on Learning to run a stakepool. It’s been a learning process, but I’ve learned a lot in a short amount of time. There have been some snags, but I am pretty confident that I can run a stakepool.

If I decide that I am going to be doing this long term I may rent a Virtual Private Server on a monthly basis. That is, of course, if the costs aren’t too high. It’s been a gratifying but sometimes frustrating learning process so far. However, I am happy I tried it.

That said, If I could go back and do things again, I would have waited longer to use Github.com. I made some mistakes that I need to fix (and still need to fix). Learning to use Github was difficult for me, with its “language” of Repos, Forks, Commits, Pull Requests, and Merges. Had I just waited a little longer for more guidance, this wouldn’t have been a problem.

Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.

As Tony Stark says:

“Sometimes You Gotta Run Before You Can Walk “

TL;DR

APAP machine working well.

Stakepool up and running.
