The ego serves the purpose of preserving one’s self. It does a good job to maintain sanity in adulthood, although it also prevents the adult from growing past the age of 18 on many counts.

Egotism is the heel of humanity, and in the modern era where everyone is shouting to be heard on internet grounds, the pimple has become big, red, and white with puss. We’re really nasty at this point, because trying to pop these shits is just going to cause infections. People can’t just Shut the fudge up for a second, listen, and learn. We are all trying to prove who has the answer, rather than simply knowing what the answer is. In the end nobody should give a rats anal-part about who is right.

There is a great amount of equating the use of psychedelics to discovering spirituality. Its effects on the brain during the intoxication is what makes this a thing. The ego gets thrown out and part of you returns to this child-like state where you’re not concerned with who is right. This partial lobotomy will only last for as long as your body is processing the chemicals.

Since I had experience with mushrooms and stuff like that, I know that the ego comes back stronger than ever after the fact. You can’t give people the idea that these kinds of Drugs brings you to profundity, because once you don’t have them anymore, the state where you bask in profundity is gone with them.

The death of ego is not the answer, because we need to preserve portions of ourselves to remain solid in our pursuits in life. Ego management is boring sounding, but it’s the answer to growth. You let down your guard on occasions and admit that you don’t know shit so that you can shut up, listen, and learn. In these little moments where your book is open for the ink to drop, you start writing while having no concern as to who is providing the answers. Just write down the answers. If there is more than one answer to a question you had, don’t argue when you get more than one.
