After over half a year of mastering the first 25% of the game, it’s finally time to head back into the area that is considered the latest portion, and that is the Cathedral. This opening area needs to be built from nothing, leaving only the doors and the top floor in place. The gameplay is a jumbled mess. It doesn’t really do anything besides place opponents and obstacles into bland scenarios in comparison to everything else that has already happened.

Immediately, I see that the construction of the level needs to be less abstract to invite you into the place knowing that you are in a cathedral. Only then can the level start to become abstract afterwards in other rooms if necessary. Another thing is that this opening place is lazy as all shit. My goodness. There are only two new opponents introduced, and one of them is a spiked ball for crying out loud. After walking through the cemetery and witnessing everything new and coming in here to see old shit, it’s pretty gross. It’s time to go back to the drawing board and get inspired by gothic horror.
