Want to Upgrade your Home Office? Here’s How you Do That #CP

Do you feel as though your home Office isn’t quite what it could be? Maybe you are open to doing some renovations but just don’t know where to start. Either way, if this sounds like you, then this guide will help you to make all of the right changes.

Hook up your Headphones

A pair of headphones doesn’t cost much. With that in mind though, they are a good item for you to own, especially if you are working remotely. If you are willing to spend a bit extra then it could be worth getting some that are noise-canceling. You can also get some that have a built-in microphone, so you can listen to music while you are on the phone. When choosing headphones, make sure that you invest in a headphone stand too. If you can do this then you will soon find that it is Easier to keep your wires neat, while making your office look far more professional.

Using a Back Pillow

You don’t need to get an expensive Office Chair if you are working from home. It's easy for you to adapt the standard office chair you have now if you know what steps to take. Consider buying an inexpensive foam cushion or even a rolled-up towel. If you can do this then you will soon find that it’s easier than ever for you to make your set-up more comfortable so you can avoid back pain and muscle aches.

Raise your Laptop

If you work from a laptop or if you use a monitor with your PC then you need to make sure that your eyes are level with the top of the screen. A lot of people often have the screen or the monitor too low but this is a major mistake. Invest in a good monitor stand or a laptop stand, so you can adjust the height until it suits your requirements. You can also get a keyboard riser if you want, and this is great if you find that your arms ache after being sat at your computer for too long.

Focus on Light

If you feel as though you don’t have enough light in the office then getting a lamp could be a good option. With that in mind, natural light is far more invigorating and it can work wonders for your energy levels. If you want to do something about this then get some sheer made to measure curtains or blinds. This will help you to frame the window properly so you don’t shut out more light than you need. One bonus of doing this is that it will brighten your space and it will make it easier for you to get things done. If you do a lot of video calls then you may want to get a light box. This will add a lot of artificial light to a room but it will make your face much clearer when taking calls. If you can, focus on the background, or what people can see when you take a call too, as this will add to your professional image.
