There has been a confirmed report that a house cat has been diagnosed with the pneumonic plaque which is know as the black death in Laramie County, Wyoming.
This pneumonic form of plague can be easily transmitted from a coughing cat or other animal to a human.

The are asking the locals to take precautions and watch for symptoms.
