Post Britpop trio milkshed. are the perfect antidote to a depressing or lethargic day. Mixing together 90s grunge, explosive garage rock and anthemic pop rock songwriting, the southwest English band takes me back to the early 2000s. Chunky chords. Plenty of fuzz. Something to sing and shout along to.

milkshed. (complete with full stop) are brand new to the music scene, releasing their debut single ‘Apex Predator’ back in August. That was a raw garage rock number but their single has a fuzzy sheen to it. Returning with ‘Burning Bridges’, the track is a letter to a loved one about wanting to help them while feeling powerless to do so. In juxtaposition, it’s the anthemic power of the chorus and its ragged guitar edges that really drew me in. This is a track to wave arms and mosh to at high volume.
