Stevie J & Slim Thug Defend Diddy Amid Fed Raid & Trafficking Drama: “[Black] People Want Him to Fail” But “No Weapon Formed Against Him Shall Prosper”

Just when music mogul Diddy probably thought his legal drama couldn’t get any worse following bombshell sexual assault accusations in 2023, the last week has brought a media firestorm following federal Homeland Security agents raiding the Los Angeles and Miami homes of the Bad Boy founder (born Sean Combs) as part of an inquiry into sex trafficking allegations.

And while no arrests have been made (as of time of this report), the court of public opinion has seemingly already condemned the embattled billionaire as the memes and gifs generated on social media in the last 24 hours are copious to say the least.

As fans, foes, and everyone in between await an official statement from Combs to defend his honor, there are a few celebrities – namely Slim Thug and Stevie J – who have beat him to the punch.

While playing a Hip Hop-inspired remix of Gospel icon Dorinda Clark Cole‘s signature hit, ‘I’m Still Here,’ producer/DJ/reality TV personality Stevie J (born Steven Jordan) bobbed his head to a video captioned “no weaponed against us shall prosper” (while tagging Diddy and sons Justin and King).

Fans of Stevie know he was recently tied to Diddy in a lawsuit from producer Lil Rod that made headlines last month after he claimed Combs forced him to watch the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star have sex with another man.

“I ain’t never gonna be that guy… I’m one of gods favorite,” Jordan said in response to the news at the time.

Elsewhere, Slim Thug (born Stayve Thomas) also took to social media to defend Diddy.

“I don’t want to see a Black man who came so far, almost to a billion dollars, fall down. That’s our inspiration,” he said before saying, “we losing another billionaire over allegations at this point. Still no criminal charges.”

Later in the clip, Thomas even suggests it’s ultimately Black people who are rooting for the demise of Diddy.

“If you look at who is wishing this dude fail, it’s his own people. It’s his own people cheering and laughing and saying ‘Diddy did it,'” Stayve shared.

Their statements come just a day after Cassie – singer, model, actress, and one of Combs’ reported previous victims – took to press via a statement delivered by her lawyer Douglas Wigdor.

“We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law,” the statement read. “Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”
