Billboard 200: Justin Timberlake Debuts with LOWEST First-Week Sales of His Career with ‘Everything I Thought It Was’

Justin Timberlake unleashed his latest studio album ‘Everything I Thought It Was’ last week and has been pounding the promotional pavement in support of the project.

Preceded by the single ‘Selfish,’ the LP has also been pushed by way of follow-up effort ‘No Angels.’

With the sales tallied and verified, ‘Everything I Thought It Was’ premiered at #4 on the Billboard 200 with 67,000 units.

Of that sum, pure sales comprise 41,000, while 24,000 units were amassed by way of 31.13 million on-demand streams of the set’s songs.

With that, JT registers the lowest first-week sales of his career. He also tallies the lowest charting album of his career to date.

‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ (2006) –  684,000 copies | #1

Interestingly, the less-than-towering final sum comes after Timberlake mounted a strong retail effort, offering up various iterations of vinyl and store exclusives.
