Hot 100: Drake Ties Michael Jackson Record as J. Cole Collab ‘First Person Shooter’ Debuts at #1

13 may be an unlucky number for some. However, for Drake, it’s proven to bring with it his most potent wins.

Full story below…

Fresh from scoring his historic 13th #1 on the Billboard 200 with his album ‘For The All The Dogs,’ Drizzy has scored his 13th #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with ‘First Person Shooter’ featuring fellow titan J. Cole.

And the MC has made history in the process.

For, in hitting the top spot, ‘First Person Shooter’ sees Drake tie the King of Pop Michael Jackson as the solo male artist with the most Hot 100 #1’s (13). They’re also tied as the fourth acts overall.

‘Shooter’ also becomes Cole’s first ever #1 on the Hot 100.

So, how did the song manage the feat?

Its speedy ascend to pole position was powered by:

  • 42.2 million US streams
  • 4.3 million US radio airplay audience impressions
  • 4,000 US downloads

Congrats!
