Offset Drops Lawsuit Against Quality Control

It would appear it’s a season of mending fences for Offset. Because the Migos rapper has dropped his lawsuit against the group’s record label, Quality Control.

Full story below…

As reported, last August the MC filed suit against QC in a case centered around his solo music.

For, while his Migos deal remained intact, he claimed the label wasn’t honoring a deal they made regarding his music back in January 2021.

At the time, he argued that he negotiated a solo deal directly with Motown Records (Migos’ joint distributor), and to secure his artist rights, he said QC “were paid handsomely.”

However, he asserted that QC backpedaled on the agreement and began claiming his new music as his own. He filed suit to effectively force their hand to honor the deal.

According to TMZ, this week saw Offset move have the suit dropped with prejudice – meaning it can’t be re-filed.

A source close to developments says the rapper isn’t rejoining QC, but that both sides have made peace and ironed out their differences. Further particulars were not divulged.

The news comes after Offett and Quavo – who had been feuding – patched up their relationship in time to pay tribute to bandmate Takeoff (who was killed last October) at this year’s BET Awards.
