Hot 100: SZA Scores First #1 Hit of Her Career with ‘Kill Bill’

SZA has officially done it!

Look inside to see the numbers that fueled her monster hit, ‘Kill Bill,’ to becoming the #1 song in America.

Taking to press Monday (April 24), Billboard confirmed industry analysts’ previously reported predictions that ‘Kill Bill’ has finally topped the Hot 100 chart after a lengthy spell at #2.

Originally released January 10, the ‘SOS’ song’s strong performance last week was bolstered by an April 14-released remix with Doja that helped propel it over former chart champion Morgan Wallen and his blockbuster hit, ‘Last Night’ (which has already spent multiple weeks at the tally’s summit).

Here are the figures that powered ‘Bill’s blast to the Pop chart’s pole position.

  • Streaming:  28.3 million U.S.-based streams
  • Digital Downloads: 5,000 sold
  • Radio Airplay: 86.5 million audience impressions

A career first for the songstress (born Solana Rowe), ‘Kill’ comes as her inaugural topper on the hitlist. As for the Doja version, the rapstress may have previously claimed the top spot thanks to 2020’s ‘Say So‘ remix with Nicki Minaj but wasn’t credited for the SZA remix as the original incarnation outperformed the revamp.
