As one of modern music’s most successful superstars, Alicia Keys boasts a catalog of classics that are ever-enduring.
Excitingly, April 28 will see eight of the performer’s studio albums arrive in Spatial Audio on Apple Music. And, in the process, the revered collection will be gifted a fresh glaze of rich crispness.
To celebrate the move, the 15-time GRAMMY winner held an intimate listening event at the legendary Abbey Road Studios after re-recording, remixing, and re-imagining her material using Dolby Atmos technology to create an epic listening experience.

Reminding that she’s just as captivating and charismatic off-stage as she is on it, Keys thrilled while providing riveting insights into the stories of smashes such as ‘If I Ain’t Got You,’ ‘Girl On Fire,’ and ‘No One.’
She also opened up about the process of piecing together collaborations with singer-songwriter Emeli Sande – who she teamed up with on ‘101’ and ‘Brand New Me.’
Over the course of the night, the Spatial Audio incarnations of the tracks were played in full and potently showcased how material as golden as Keys’ shines even more in the format.
Speaking at the event, the music maven said:
“I would definitely say the most special thing about this experience is that Ann Mincieli and the engineers I worked with on this were able to take the raw files from the very, very beginning and reimagine every single mix. So there’s no template going on here, there’s no like ‘take the two track and just spread ‘em however’. It’s real reimagining of all the songs: all the music, all the tones, all the vocals, all the instruments – all of it. So, it really, really is special. Plus, to be able to be here and listen in this magnificently historical room of Abbey Road!
It’s inspiring being in this room. I feel like this is adding to the fabric of the timelessness music has created in these walls. I’m grateful for y’all to be here.”
