An artist who goes by the name of PAKK RiLey has accused Cardi of ripping off his 2020 song ‘Hot Sh*t.’ He took to Twitter to make the allegations public, where he played both songs back to back to point out the similarities in flow and production.

Cardi has since gone on record to refute the allegations that she stole the song, saying her version of the track was in the works long before his was.

To make her point, she hared a note on her phone dated March 2020 with the lyrics to the song.

In another tweet that has since been deleted, she uploaded a demo of the song with the date of May 5, 2020. Meanwhile, RiLey’s version of the song was sent to streaming services in November 2020.

Cardi has previously faced allegations of plagiarism for her song ‘Up’ when rappers Mir Pesos and Mir Fontane accused her of ripping off their song ‘Stuck’ for her single.
