Bravo has officially confirmed the exit of Jennie Nguyen from the ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ following a racism scandal that rocked the hit show.

The RHSLC newcomer joined the sophomore season of the series and quickly became a firm fixture in the various storylines playing out on screen.

One of such narratives centered on racist comments made towards her by castmate Mary Crosby.

In an ironic turn of events post filming of the season, racist Facebook posts made by Nguyen surfaced and shocked many.

Shared in 2020 during the anti-racism protests in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, Nguyen compared Black Lives Matter protesters to “thugs,” re-posted racist memes, and trumpeted divisive rhetoric such as “If you follow the officers’ orders, you won’t get shot.”

In the time since Nguyen apologized. However, Bravo is drawing a clear line in the sand about what is tolerable and what is not and has ultimately axed Nguyen from the show.

A statement issued moments ago read:

“Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen and she will no longer be a cast member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

We Recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention. Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions.”
