Joe Perry dio inicio anoche, en su ciudad natal de Boston, a su breve gira por la costa este de Estados Unidos con "Joe Perry and Friends" en apoyo de su nuevo álbum solista, Sweetzerland Manifesto.

Y cuando se trata de "amigos", el guitarrista de Aerosmith tiene algunos muy famosos.

Perry no solo trajo a su compañero de banda de seis cuerdas Brad Whitford, a Barry Goudreau (ex guitarrista de Boston) y al héroe local Gary Cherone (vocalista de Extreme), sino que también pidió ayuda del legendario cantante Terry Reid para un par de canciones, el cantante de Joe Perry Project Charlie Farren y explotó el lugar con el bajista de Aerosmith Tom Hamilton, quien apareció para el encore con "Sweet Emotion".

Aquellos que buscan algo después de 1976 no tuvieron suerte, y Cherone cantó con fabuloso desempeño físico, destreza vocal y entusiasmo por las canciones poco comunes de Aerosmith como "Pandora's Box", "Last Child" y "Adam's Apple".

Para cerrar el set, Perry tuvo una última sorpresa al presentar a Hamilton, dejando tres quintas partes de Aerosmith en el escenario de la ciudad donde comenzaron, y luego siguió con "Walk This Way".
