Over the past few years, I've been trying out practice travel mutes (ones that fit flush in the bell with the horn in the case), trying to find the one that works for me and my horn. For my last horn (a Wessex Dolce) that was the Best Brass Mute, but now with my Yamaha Neo, that's not the case. All are in pretty much new shape, although the Best Brass mute has a few minor scuffs here and there. These sort of mutes have mixed reviews everywhere you look, either people love them, or as was my case, they just don't slot very well on any notes below F or D on the staff. Your mileage may vary, and due to shipping costs, I'd rather not accept returns. I would accept a trade/barter of a different practice mute (travel or full size), or an Alliance DC3 mouthpiece or maybe another "4" size large shank mouthpiece.
