Can I store the tuba with its bell over the floor? My boyfriend and I have planned 3 months travel to East Asia and he is much concerned about storing the tuba safe. Keeping it home for 3 months shall ruin it. So I searched online for the safety tips for storing. I read that generally musical instruments are recommended to store in climate control units because they are sensitive to extreme hot and cold temperatures, humidity and dust. I think it is better to get help from any self-storage unit to store the Tuba. What you guys think about it. Or can I set a climate control unit at home? How should I prepare the tuba for storage? Can I store the horn on its bell? Any suggestions or advice would be a great help. Many thanks.
