Vada Azeem' Breaking The Stagard

#TwentiesGoForNix “The only man who can accurately tell his life story is the man who lived it.”
By Anthony Alden X.U.M.M.
Over the last few years I have watched a young man who I now consider a friend and colleague resonate my utmost respect. So when Vada Azeem said he wanted to do a live listening for his upcoming EPMD and was looking for a intimate space I quickly offered MV Studio.
Vada in my opinion is a true musical artist, one who can rap lyrics around his beats with complexity and emotion. Vada lyrics are clever, while keeping it real, interesting, and personal. His signature style differentiate his flow from other rappers.
Vada grew up poor, light skinned black on the Northeast side of Columbus, Ohio so gaining street cred mint he had to intersect his unique style of hip hop fashion, while gaining the respect of his homeboys.
Vada lyrics slow walk you through his journey with poetic precision. Always reminding the listener, sometime you gotta travel through darkness to find the light of knowledge.
When living on the edge ain't close enough do you move forward or back? That was the struggle that defined his childhood that claimed the innocence of many friends who found themselves incarcerated or 187.
His formula for success! "It means nothing if it's not on my terms".
So painstakingly one poetic verse at a time Vada began to write his soul into canvas.
Unfortunately hip-hop is still a young man’s game, and at 30 Vada realize he must maintain relevance or fade away.
