Indie synth pop band Chvrches covered Calvin Harris and Rihanna‘s “This Is What You Came For” for their performance on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Series. The group stays true to the original while adding moody riffs on the synthesizer.

Is Rihanna releasing a new single?

All in all, the band gave a solid performance although it’s plausible they should have switched to a lower key given it’s slightly out of vocalist Lauren Mayberry’s range. In addition to the cover, the band also performed their recent hit “Bury It” which was released earlier this summer in June. Check out the live performance below.
