Laverne Cox Teams Up With Smirnoff Vodka For NYC Pride

Laverne Cox, the American actress and LGBTQ+ advocate has linked up with Smirnoff Vodka to celebrate Pride for the month of June.

The popular spirit brand will be taking part in this Sunday’s (June 30th) parade celebrating the community in New York City, with partner and Drag Queen, Alyssa Edwards. Dressed as the Statue of Liberty, she will publicly debut the fresh song made specifically for Ms. Cox titled “Welcome Home,” created by expert producer Eric Kupper – who has worked with countless other LGBTQ+ allies such as Disco diva Diana Ross and Ariana Grande. The Alabama native has been involved all month with Smirnoff to create a number of commercials highlighting her partnership and increasing the visibility of LGBTQ+ people. Each visual takes on a different theme of education about the drink by giving lessons on how to say it in different languages and how to greet people from around the world.
