David Chappelle, Kendrick Lamar And U2 To Open Grammys

It looks like the Recording Academy is making the return of the Grammys to New York City a very big deal.

In addition to the massive lineup of performers to grace the stage including Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Lady Gaga, Pink, Childish Gambino, comedian Dave Chappelle, Kendrick Lamar and U2 will be opening the event.

The Irish rockers were featured on Lamar’s song “XXX.” off his 2017 album DAMN., while the Compton rapper guested on U2’s “Get Out of Your Own Way” off the group’s 14th studio album Songs of Experience, which dropped in December. It is important to note that Lamar has seven nominations this year, second only to JAY-Z, who is up for eight awards. Is Kendrick coming for the crown?

Chappelle, who has been met with mild pushback regarding comments he made about minorities, will undoubtedly stand out amongst the rest of the musicians. Make sure not to miss the laughs and great tunes that will be served up this Sunday (January 28th) and catch this year’s Grammy ceremony at 7:30pm Eastern Time.
