After teasing it for weeks, The Chainsmokers have released thier new single “Paris.”
The slow-building electro-pop jam finds front man Drew Taggart taking the lead solo this time around. It’s their first song without a feature since 2015’s similarly city-themed “New York City,” but like that one, there’s an uncredited female vocalist on the track.
Sonically, “Paris” is the least dance-oriented release from the duo to date – trading synth sounds for piano chords, and going with a drop so understated, you can’t really call it an EDM track.
The producer duo released the new track alongside a lyric video. While “Paris” is definitely about the capital city of France, this takes place on a beach with a supermodel. Because 2017.
