Essential artist of the current reggae scene, Chezidek releases his 14th album entitled NEVER STOP on April 14, 2023 on digital format and on June on Cd & LP.

Produced by Irie Ites Records, this opus will definitively seal the collaboration between the artist and the French label. Indeed, Chezidek and Irie Ites know each other very well because they met in 2001 during a trip to Jamaica.

Since that date, several singles produced by Irie Ites have been released such as the hit "Bun Di Ganja" with more than 1.3M views on Youtube and more than 7.8M streams on Spotify, but also the titles "Who I Am", " Mr Officer”, “Friday Night” and many more.

Composed of 13 vocal tracks and 4 dub versions, this album will certainly mark the career of the artist as one of his best albums. On the music side, the instrumentals are played by big names in reggae such as Mafia & Fluxy, Roots Radics, Earl Chinna Smith, Dean Fraser, Bongo Herman, The Ligerians, Naram, Russ D or Irie Ites.

There are 2 excellent featuring "Kill Dem" in combination with the famous Trinidad singer Queen Omega for a burning and energetic title as well as the famous track "Mr Officer" in combination with King Lorenzo on the emblematic instrumental version of "Roots & Culture".

Long postponed, this opus is eagerly awaited by the artist's fans because the many singles already released have always received a tremendous welcome.

BIOGRAPHY

Desbert Jonhson aka CHEZIDEK was born on June 20, 1973 in Jamaica. He began singing first at school gigs and became a member of the St Ann's Bay Marching Band. Since 2002, and his first album Harvest Time released on the Xterminator label, Chezidek has continued to grow. Author of several hits, "Leave The Trees" (2004), "Call Pon Dem" (2007), "Bun Di Ganja" (2008) or the essential "All My Life" (2013) which totals nearly 40 million views on YouTube, the Jamaican from St Ann's Bay has worked with big names in reggae from Sly & Robbie veterans to the most contemporary, Capleton, Lutan Fyah or Mark Wonder. The release in 2007 of his 4th opus Inna Di Road on Greensleeves will open the doors to prestigious stages, from Jamaica to the United States via Europe. One of his songs can even be found in the famous GTA video game. Driven by the Rastafari culture, the singer puts his angelic voice at the service of justice and seizes on political and spiritual subjects. In Europe, it is alongside Irie Ites that he will perform several remarkable tours following the release of his hit “Bun Di Ganja” but also for other singles such as “Mr Officer” feat. King Lorenzo or "War Monger". With 13 albums to their credit and numerous singles, CHEZIDEK confirms their prominent place on the current reggae scene. A 14th album will be released in spring 2023 accompanied by a new European tour with the label and sound Irie Ites. Several singles and videos will be released by then to enhance this new opus which will certainly hold the attention of the artist's fans.
