Halley Hiatt releases her rendition of the 1982 hit “Mad World” from her upcoming mixtape HeartBeats.

She says that “even as times change, there will always be themes and sentiments represented in music that remain. This song had many, one being the trials of daily life and the idea of something better/an escape. This was reflected in life at the time of its original release and is still relevant to this modern day rat race we’re living in today.”
