Meghan Trainor – Me Too

Meghan Trainor is one of my favourite contemporary heroes. An icon for all my people out here, who feel a little like Bridget Jones or Steve Urkel. For those who own a little ugly and not-stereotyped image, but are able to turn it into their main strength anyway.

After the ubiquitous All About That Bass, Trainor is still getting really good results also with her latest single NO. Wrong choice? Absolutely not! The song, clearly inspired by a so 2000s Britney, is collecting a lot of good comments and praises. This happy stylistic choice is empowered by a cool video, in which she physically ridicules herself but she truly can’t care less. Juicy stuff for the major tabloids that keep on talking about Trainor‘s temerity all around the world. This is what marketing is made of Meghan!

By taking advantage of this mediatic fame, Trainor is ready to release her next single, called Me Too, where she keeps on following that back-to-early-2000s NO sound, which perfectly fits with her voice. The track is able to steal the whole scene for itself thanks also to a fairly aggressive synth which kinda reminds me of a first Benny Benassi style. In Me TooMeghan confirms that this synthpop wave of few years ago is not a simple experiment for her, but a wise and planned stylistic choice.

Enjoy the rip-roaring Me Too!
