What Makes This Singer Great? Bryan Adams

When I think of Bryan Adams, I think of a great storyteller who writes the kind of songs that make me want to sing along to.

Known for his killer, gritty vocals, Bryan is a t-shirt and blue jeans kind of guy, who has written some pretty unforgettable melodies.

Hailing from Canada, Bryan broke out into the music scene with his 1983 album Cuts Like a Knife. His follow-up album was an even bigger success and helped catapult him to global fame.

Bryan’s success continued through the 90s and his hit “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” was featured in the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves soundtrack and became a worldwide hit.

Adams has been ranked 38th on the list of all-time top artists in the Billboard Hot 100 and he has gone on to release 14 albums to date.

I’ll be taking a look at a live performance of “Summer of ‘69” as I share what I thought made him great. I’d love to hear your input as well so please be sure to share what stands out about Bryan for you!
