Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is here. After the shortest chapter in a year in Fortnite history, Chapter 4 could mark a new path for Epic’s battle royale, where players will receive a major overhaul each December moving forward. In Fortnite Chapter 4, an entirely new map has arrived, though as always not without some references to past landing spots. There are also new Fortnite weapons here, another new battle pass and completely new mechanics like motorcycles and a system of perks called augments. Consider this your all-in-one guide to what’s new and unusual in Fortnite Chapter 4.
These guides fill up quickly when Fortnite downtime ends, so bookmark it and spend your launch day with us. Happy Chapter 4, Loopers!
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass
The Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass includes eight more characters, V-Bucks, and dozens of other cosmetics. Fortnite loves a crossover, and this season sees the debut of The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia on the island, as does the Doomslayer from Doom. We’ve been actively capturing images of every Battle Pass reward in the game, and you can find the full fix here.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Weapons
Usually, a new chapter means a big loot collection, and that was true again in Chapter 4 Season 1. This season, Fortnite is introducing new weapons, including two new guns–time will tell which ones fans want, and you can check them all out in full here in New Loot and Weapons.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Map
Perhaps the most exciting part of the new Fortnite chapter is the new map. The Chapter 4 map brings a complete makeover to the Fortnite landscape, including the introduction of motorcycles, but not without a few nods to maps of the past that longtime players might stumble upon and enjoy. For a full look at the new map, check out our tour guide here.
Exotic and mythical weapons
The best guns in every season are Exotics and Mythics. Exotics are sold by NPCs and dropped by hostile NPCs when Mythics are defeated. We’re looking for all of these on the island right now, so you’ll find our guide here soon.
Operating ore
Devious players can use this new resource to gain advantages in confrontations with other players. We are creating a complete guide on how to find and use kinetic ore.
Incremental system
A new Fortnite perks system known as Augments enhances gameplay lovers comes with Chapter 4 and we’re making a guide to break it all down for you. There are faster reloads, faster sprinting and more, and here’s how they work.
All NPC locations
Every season of Fortnite since Chapter 2 and Season 5 has introduced new NPCs, often referred to as “Fortnite Characters” by Epic, that roam the island and offer goods and services to players. We are actively tracking all Fortnite characters in Chapter 4 Season 1 and will have a full map and list here soon.
All fish places
As you complete your character collection book, you can find every fish in the game. You’ll want to do this for a few reasons, including getting more of their buffs for health and shields, but also competing with your friends to catch the biggest fish. As with the NPCs, we are researching all the fish and will have a guide linked here as soon as we can.
Zero Week Challenges
Zero Week is Epic’s new way to tackle weekly challenges in Fortnite. Instead of waiting until Thursday to start with Week 1 challenges, Zero Week challenges now earn players a whole extra slate of big XP gains. We will guide you as soon as the servers come online, so check back here soon.
