Johnny Lucas FEATURE + INTERVIEW

Here it is, a feature and interview on the talented Johnny Lucas. Besides great taste in music, this guy has an uncommon gift of pleasing all his listeners with his alt pop sound. Johnny's music is not mainstream however, the upbeat tempo of his most recent track - 'Lilo' (which is on his recent ep 'You Can Start Anywhere' - also available to purchase on iTunes) is definitely one to be played more on the radio. Unlike some current artists, Johnny's music matches his image, personality and what music should be, fun. It's not all upbeat tempos and party beats however, Johnny Lucas has a sublime voice for any track as demonstrated live. In addition to having played at Glastonbury 2014, Johnny has been booked for 2015 so be sure to give him a visit! From rock to pop, this guy really knows how to accomplish.

INTERVIEW
  1. Where does your inspiration come from when you write music?
It mainly comes from what I see around me. I get melodies popping into my head when I'm doing everyday activities like buying some milk. Then I go and put lyrics to them.
 
  1. Out of all the venues you’ve played at, which has been the most exhilarating?
 
I would definitely say have to say Glastonbury 2014. The crowd were incredible and singing along really loudly. That was the best feeling ever.
 
  1. Tell us a fact about yourself that no one else will know?
 
I'm really into Chess.
  1. What are you looking forward to in the future?

I've been booked to play Glastonbury 2015 and also I'm looking forward to releasing my new EP, "If You Want To" later on in 2015.
 
  1. Where do you see yourself in a year time?
 
I would like to go on tour and Support a really big act. Also a few of my songs synced with a TV show, advert or movie this time next year would put a huge smile on my face. I would not want to rule out packing Wembley Stadium out either!
 
  1. Who would you like to do collaboration with?
 
Dave Grohl.
 
  1. Which musician do you feel the most influenced by?
 
Noel Gallagher / Dave Grohl / Paul McCartney
 
  1. Spiderman or Batman?
Batman is more bad ass.
 
  1. Who supports you the most on your journey?
 
I have a few great people that come to every single gig which is a huge support. However my Mum has to win the gold medal on that one.
 
  1. What's your strength and/or weakness?
Being a nice person
