“Suelen decir que una imagen vale más q 1000 palabras y la canción de hoy pretende ser un ejemplo. Justin Timberlake en Mirrors nos ofrece un vídeo muy tierno (y que nos muestra sus dotes de bailarín) en el que quiso transmitir a su mujer que le gustaría mantener el legado de sus abuelos viviendo su relación como la que tuvieron ellos. Al principio con el vigor y la ilusión aunque con desencuentros juveniles y en el final con la alegría serena aunque se sufriera la soledad de la vejez. Lo interesante es como resalta que con los años de convivencia armoniosa uno se vuelve el reflejo del otro y acaban por fusionarse las almas”.

Justin Timberlake (al que hemos tenido en estas entradas) nace en Memphis (EE.UU.) en 1981 y con doce empezará a participar en el programa Mickey Mouse Club que es una de las principales plataformas de promoción de cantantes y actores en EE.UU. Tres años más tarde será contratado como líder del grupo NSYNC con el que se convierte en un ídolo mundial. En 2002 decide empezar una carrera en solitario con Justified que será un paso en busca de un público más amplio y madurar su sonido como lo demuestra su sencillo Cry Me A River. Cuatro años más tarde lanza FutureSex/LoveSounds que contendrá sus primeros números uno Sexy Back, My Love y What Goes Around... Comes Around con los que se convierte en uno de los solistas más importantes del momento y afamado productor. Al mismo tiempo desarrolla una interesante carrera como actor destacando su participación en La Red Social. En 2013 el lanzamiento de The 20/20 Experience es todo un acontecimiento y volverá a arrasar en ventas, lo que provoca que ese mismo año se tenga que lanzar The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) con los temas desechados. Así temas como esta Mirrors, Not A Bad Thing llegarán lo más alto de las listas junto a sus colaboraciones con BSO como Can't Stop the Feeling! que volverá a ser número uno en todo el mundo. En 2018 vuelve a la carga con Man Of The Woods del que destacarán los temas Filthy y Say Something. Hasta el momento en solitario ha vendido 88 millones de discos y con NSYNC 70, casi nada.
La letra es un una declaración de amor en toda regla, en la que su protagonista ve a su amante como una alma gemela, reflejo de ambos.
