Cricket is a sport which is loved by a lot of people. The best experience which can get for watching Cricket is in a cricket Stadium. There are many cricket stadiums where both national and international matches take place. We made a list of some of the best cricket stadiums of the world.


The Lords, Cricket Ground in London

The first stadium which makes to our list is The Lords from London. The Lords is the center of the ICC committee and this stadium has created its own history for some of the best matches that have taken place here. The stadium was founded in the year 1814 by a person named Thomas Lord. The stadium was named after the name of the founder only. 4 World cup finals for the years 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999 have taken place in this stadium.

The Oval, Kensington London

This stadium has a seating capacity of 23,500 people and the first test match was played in the year 1880. Not only is this stadium known for cricket but the first ever Football FA Final Cup was also played in this stadium. The Oval is one of the best looking stadiums present in the world. The end of the ground of the stadium is called Vauxhall end because the stadium is located very close to the Vauxhall Tube Station.

Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne

This stadium was established in the year 1854 and it has a sitting capacity of over 95,000 people. MCG is the biggest cricket stadium in the world. As the Lords has named itself in the history of cricket MCG has also named itself in the history of cricket as International Test matches against England took place in this stadium. In the year 1992 the World Cup took place in MCG and Pakistan became victorious after defeating England in MCG stadium.

Eden Gardens, Kolkata India

Eden Gardens from Kolkata, India makes it to number 4 position in the best cricket stadiums of the world. This stadium was established in the year 1864 and has a seating capacity of over 90,000 people. Eden gardens is the second largest cricket stadium in the world after MCG. Some of the mishappenings also took place in this stadium. In the year 1996 a match was going on in between India and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was winning at that moment the crowd present in the stadium started burning things. In the end Sri Lanka won the match as per ICC intervene.
