A warming rendition of the CCR classic, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” plays enjoyably in this cut from Milwaukee-based band The Pulltops. Impressing plenty in the past with more fervent rock tracks, like previously featured “Here We Are” and “3-2-1 Go!,” “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” succeeds in the mold of a more climactic rock sound — ascending from understated, contemplative questioning into a triumphant, brass-touched culmination.

The memorable cover serves as the finale on The Pulltops’ new EP, Sight Lines, streaming below. The pit-pattering percussion and twangy guitars stir alongside an illuminated background, as the vocals beckon with the classic title-referencing question. There’s an eventual arrival into a more exuberant, bright satiation, concluding this tasteful and melodic cover with a resonating finality.
