A chilling new single from Sasha Bayan, “tomorrow” casts a ghostly contemplation with its trickling guitar work and emotive vocal layering. Per Bayan, the track “delves into the nuances of grief and hope to evoke the journey of healing and new beginnings.”

Vocal questioning — “why do you cry?” — immerses into a more vibrant “tomorrow’s another day,” encouragement; subtle string flourishes align with the bristling guitar work for a hypnotic expanse, stirring as the strings become more prominent and the vocals more impassioned — letting out “now there’s a hole where my heart used to be.” The “maybe then I’ll be okay,” shift into cinematic string prominence captivates, as does the percussive involvement approaching the three-minute turn. “tomorrow” is full of gripping sequences and heart-on-sleeve introspection.

“tomorrow” is a track from Bayan’s upcoming album enough, releasing in 2024. Bayan is also known as the bandleader and sitar player for High Tide.
