Los Angeles-based Lomma, the solo project of Evan Lomnitzer, reveals a punchy psych-friendly rock enamoring on new single “Death, Pt. 1.” Via the upcoming album Torrey Pines, out in October, “Death, Pt. 1” recalls Supergrass in its hooky “I let you go,” vocal raucousness. Colorful vocal charisma interacts further with reflective guitars and shimmering backing keys, evolving into a chirpy guitar lengthening past the one-minute mark. “Death, Pt. 1” is an infectious, personality-filled rock success from Lomma.
