Los Angeles duo Bad Feelings cite Arctic Monkeys and The Killers as bands they admire; both influences come into the mix on their single “Do You Wanna Get High”. The stomping beat and those reverbed guitars that drive the song sound straight from Arctic Monkeys’ “Do I Wanna Know?”, while those anthemic vocals and sonic backdrop soar like a great Killers chorus.

But aside from the influences and blatantly enjoyable comparisons, Bad Feelings has put an individual twist on their rock. The soulful vocals are drenched in R&B flourishes, adding emotion to the vocals’ longing. The chorus is simple, but will inch its way into your head and stay there after a few listens. We’re getting nothing but good vibes from Bad Feelings.
