Mt. Wolf‘s debut album has been a long time coming, but we are finally getting our first Listen of a track from the record in The Electric.

It’s six minutes of delicately layered beauty, with the rich and haunted vocals hanging in the air as the marching beat rolls on. It’s a confident statement of intent that sees the three-piece build on their ethereal soundscapes of previous years with something more provocative and powerful.

Or as Tory described it to me this morning “Just listen – it’s fucking wonderful”.

The band are currently in the studio finishing up their as yet untitled LP with with Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, M83, Daughter), which we are assured will arrive “shortly before summer”.
