Jeder der mich kennt, kann sich wahrscheinlich denken, das mein Hauptinteresse an dieser Show Frosttide geschuldet ist. Sie sind eine dieser Bands, die ich immer und immer wieder sehen kann, ohne das jemals langweilig wird. Für diejenigen, die sie noch nicht kennen, die Jungs aus Tampere/Jyväskylä spielen Epic/Dark/Folk Metal.

Ich habe ihre Show sehr genossen, obwohl sie nicht perfekt war. Ich denke, es ist ein kleines Problem für die Live Auftritte, dass Frosttide derzeit nur drei Mitglieder hat. Ohne Bassist und mit einem Gitarristen, der noch wenig Erfahrung mit Live-Shows hat, war ihr Sound ein bisschen flach.

Trotzdem kann ich jedem nur raten, sich Frosttide einmal anzuschauen, wenn Sie die Chance dazu haben.

Als nächstes kam Nothgard. Obwohl ich schon viel über diese Band gehört habe, habe ich noch nie etwas von dieser Band gehört. Eines der Dinge die ich bereits über diese Band wusste, war, dass ihr Sänger/Gitarrist auch in Equilibrium spielt. Dass die beiden Bands miteinander verwandt sind ist aber auch ganz einfach herauszuhören, da der musikalische Stil doch sehr ähnlich ist.

Epic Melodic Death Metal klingt für mich nach einer ziemlich schlechten Kombination, da ich weder Epic, Melodic noch Death Metal mag, aber irgendwie haben Nothgard es geschafft, dass diese Mischung funktioniert und ihre Show war überraschend gut.

Auch während des Headliners Bloodred Hourglass ist die Halle nur zur Hälfte mit Leuten gefüllt, aber zumindest die, die dort sind, sind in einer hervorragenden Stimmung.

Sie waren für mich so neu wie Nothgard, leider war mein erster Eindruck von ihnen nicht besonders gut, aber im laufe der Show konnte ich mich immer mehr daran gewöhnen und zu dem Zeitpunkt an dem ich gehen musste, hatte ich auch an Ihrer Show meine Freude.

Eines der Highlights für mich war ihre neue Single „Waves Of Black“, die sie nur einen Tag vor der Show veröffentlichten.

Everybody knowing me can probably guess that my main interested for this show was because of Frosttide. They are one of those bands that I can see over and over again, without ever getting boring of it. For those who don’t know them yet, the guys from Tampere/Jyväskylä play Epic / Dark /Folk Metal.

I enjoyed their show a lot, even though was not perfect. I think it is a small problem for the live experience that Frosttide currently only has three permanent members. Without any bass player and a guitarist who is still a bit inexperienced in playing live shows their sound was a bit flat.

Nevertheless I can only advise you to go and see them if you have the chance.

Next up was Nothgard. Even though I have heard a lot about this band, I never heard anything from this band before. One of the things I’d knew about this band was, that their singer/guitarist also plays in Equilibrium, but it wouldn’t be necessary to know about that to figure out that those both bands are related to each other, as the similarity of the music of both bands is clearly hearable.

Epic Melodic Death Metal does sound like a pretty bad combination to me as I neither like Epic, Melodic nor Death Metal, but somehow they managed to make it work and their show was surprisingly nice to watch.

Also during headliner Bloodred Hourglass the hall is only half filled with people, but at least the ones who are there are in an excellent mood.  

They were as new to me as Nothgard, unfortunately my first impression of them was not too good, but I’ll got more and more used to it during the show and by the time I had to leave I could say that their show was actually also a lot of fun to watch.

One of the highlights for me was their new single “Waves Of Black“, that they released just a day before the show.
